The Story

Painted for a client who simply said "make him look as happy as he makes us." The Shih Tzu's open-mouth grin, the tilted head, the yellow collar catching light — every detail serves one purpose: to capture that pure, uncomplicated joy that only a dog can radiate. The Chinese title on the canvas literally means "cute dog," because sometimes the simplest words say everything.
